Notary Public

To become a Notary Public, you will complete the Application below and return to the County Clerk’s Office. The Application will then go before the Cheatham County Legislative Body for approval. Once approved you will be notified to appear in the County Clerk’s Office. You will be administered your oath, pay a $19.00 notary fee, and present your Notary Bond ($10,000 surety bond).

The Secretary of State will be notified and will issue you a notary commission valid for 4 years. The Notary Public Certificate will then be mailed to you.

Notary Seals are to be purchased by the individual.
